Hough Detector Threshold Analysis in the Presence of a Randomly Arriving Impulse Interference

چکیده
In this paper a technique of Hough detector threshold procedure for moving target detection under conditions of randomly arriving impulse interference with a Poisson distributed flow and Raleigh amplitude distribution is proposed. The expressions of detection and false alarm probability are derived for a highly fluctuating Swerling II target. A comparative analysis of the performance of a Hough detector with fixed threshold and other five Hough detection structures keeping constant false alarm rates is done. These are a CA CFAR (Cell Averaging Constant False Alarm Rate), an EXC CFAR (Excision Constant False Alarm Rate), a CFAR BI (Constant False Alarm Rate with Binary Integration), an EXC CFAR BI (Excision Constant False Alarm Rate with Binary Integration) and an API CFAR (Adaptive censoring Post detection Integration Constant False Alarm Rate). A method for losses estimation, which allows choosing of optimal detector parameters, is developed. The estimates are obtained of the effectiveness of Hough detector in the presence of randomly arriving impulse interference and they are compared to patterns researched by other authors. The achieved results can be successfully applied for radar target detection and in the existing communication network receivers that use pulse signals.

Moving Target Hough Detector in Randomly Arriving Impulse Interference
The Hough detector is investigated with three types of Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) processors – an Adaptive censoring Post detection Integration (API CFAR) processor, a Binary Integration (BI CFAR) processor and an Excision with Binary Integration (EXC CFAR BI) processor in the presence of randomly arriving impulse interference. The detection probability and the average detection threshold...

In this paper we compare the efficiency of a Cell Average Constant False Alarm Rate (CA CFAR) detector and a Hough detector with average randomly arriving impulse interference. We assume that the target echo signal fluctuates according to a Swerling II signal model; the randomly arriving impulse interference is with a Poisson distribution of the probability for appearance and a Rayleigh distrib...

In this paper, the polar Hough transform (PHT) is considered as a track initiator in a track before detect (TBD) system. The study is performed in the presence of impulse interference. The algorithm under study includes a parametric CFAR detector, which works successfully in conditions of impulse interference and uses the polar Hough transform. The proposed Hough detector improves the detection...
متن کاملMultisensor Detection in Randomly Arriving Impulse Interference using the Hough Transform
In this chapter, several advanced detection algorithms for Track-Before-Detect (TBD) procedures using the Hough Transform (HT) are proposed and studied. The detection algorithms are based on the scheme described in (Carlson et al., 1994) to use the Hough transform for simultaneous target detection and trajectory estimation. The concept described in (Carlson et al., 1994) accepts that a target m...
